Bean of Fire is a specialty coffee brand from El Salvador with a strong visual identity and a product-focused digital presence.
Our role was focused entirely on the technical side of the project: developing the Shopify storefront from the provided creative direction, implementing custom functionality, configuring the commerce experience and maintaining the platform throughout 2024.
Turning creative direction into a functional storefront.
Bean of Fire already had its own visual direction, brand assets and photography created by its creative team.
Our responsibility was to translate that direction into a responsive and functional Shopify experience while preserving the intended visual presentation across desktop and mobile.
Beyond implementing the storefront, the project required configuring the technical components needed to operate as an e-commerce website, along with custom functionality for specific parts of the experience.

Shopify Development
Development and implementation of the storefront within Shopify based on the provided visual direction and assets.
Custom Widgets
Custom components and widgets were developed where the standard theme functionality wasn't enough for the required experience.
Responsive Implementation
Pages and components were adapted to provide a consistent shopping experience across desktop, tablet and mobile.
Commerce Setup
Products, store functionality and the technical components required for the purchasing experience were configured within Shopify.
Payment Configuration
The payment experience and required checkout configuration were implemented as part of preparing the store for commerce.
Maintenance & Administration
Ongoing platform maintenance and Shopify administration were provided throughout 2024 to keep the storefront operational and updated.
Development, not creative direction.
The visual identity, photography and creative assets for Bean of Fire were created by a separate creative team.
Our role began with those assets and focused on translating the provided direction into a working Shopify storefront.
Our contribution centered on implementation, custom functionality, e-commerce configuration, maintenance and administration rather than the creation of the brand's visual identity.
